November Reads

I FINISHED THE BIRTH OF BRITAIN!  I FINISHED THE BIRTH OF BRITAIN!

Finally.

Actually, it's not very hard to read and if you are in the mood for early British history, I highly recommend it.

Moving on....

All books being read at the moment are for fun.  After suffering through Little Women (yes, I said suffering.  Part 1 was great!  Part 2 was not) and giving up on The Great Gatsby (for the second time), I want to read something light and fun.  My choices are all for minors.  You can't get much lighter than that!

1)  The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place by Maryrose Wood.  I checked out the first three books from the library.

2) Home for the Holidays by Heather Vogel Frederick.  Book 5 in the series.  I LOVE THIS SERIES.  That is all.

3) Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy by Ally Carter.  Alyssa went to a birthday party last month and the theme was "spies".  All the girls were given characters and they were supposed to stay in character all night.  Cute, huh?  Well, it turns out that idea came from a series of books about an all girls school where the girls are spies in training.  I checked out book one from the library for Alyssa, but she wasn't interested.  I ended up reading it and I think it's great fun!  I am on book two.
