Asia: China

Ni Hao!

This has been a very full week of all things Chinese! I hope all of the countries we study are as fun as this one. We didn't get to do all of the things on our list, but I am hoping to get to those next week when we row Ping. Below is a quick rundown of our week.  It really was a lot of fun!

*placed flag sticker and China mini book in passport

*located China and learned that the capital is Beijing

*colored the flag

*Aniston tried her hand at writing the numbers 1-10

*Played with Tangrams

*learned about The Great Wall of China
*read about the missionary Lottie Moon in this book
*learned about Giant Pandas and drew one using Draw Write Now

*read about a girl named Guo Shuang in Children Just Like Me

*listened to the Asia song

*watched some of the videos from Expedition: China

Movies/Television watched:

*We finished our week by eating Chinese food for dinner.  Chopsticks are hard to use.  I'm just sayin'.

Thanks for visiting my blog! This looks like a great week to start out with. I love all the things you're doing; it's very similar to how we homeschool.
